Process

EIA Process

Environmental Impact Assessment is a process which includes the preparation of an Environmental Impact Assessment Report in accordance with the EIA Regulations which includes the identification of the likely significant environmental effects (both positive and negative) of the proposed Dell Wind Farm and describes mitigation proposed to avoid, reduce and offset any likely significant adverse environmental effects.

Consultation

A programme of consultation has started and is taking place throughout 2024.

Application

Owing to the anticipated connected capacity of the scheme, an application for permission will be submitted to the Scottish Government's Energy Consents Unit. The Highland Council will however be an important consultee, along with NatureScot, SEPA, Historic Environment Scotland and various other bodies, as well as local communities.

Decision

Scottish Ministers will invite consultees to comment on the application. The public, local residents and Community Councils will also have the opportunity to express their views on the proposed Dell Wind Farm. You can register your support via this website under Have Your Say.
