Dell Wind Farm
Welcome and thank you for taking the time to visit the community consultation website for Dell Wind Farm.
An application for consent under Section 36 of the Electricity Act (1989) was submitted to the Scottish Government Energy Consents Unit in March 2024.
These pages will provide information and updates on the progress of the scheme, as well as giving local communities the opportunity to comment on the development and the chance to shape our proposals for how economic and other benefits flowing from the scheme can be shared.
The site is located on the Dell Estate and lies on the western edge of the Monadhliath Mountains, to the south east of the B862, approximately 7km south of Whitebridge and 11km east of Fort Augustus. The site currently forms part of a sporting estate.
In August 2019, an application to build and operate Dell Wind Farm was consented following an appeal to the Scottish Ministers. An application for an extension of this consent under Section 42 of the Electricity Act (1989) was submitted to the Scottish Government Energy Consents Unit in March 2024.
A map of the site boundary is available to view here.
